What lights me up?

A love for the arts. The pursuit of great design. And admiration for, and devotion to, our natural world….

The past few years, I’ve worked as both Art Director and Visual Designer for Bose. While creating campaigns and building design prototypes, I made a happy discovery–when you inspire someone to feel the right thing, you get them to do the right thing. Design has the power to crowd out non-green behavior with new habits that bring to light people’s love of nature, organically revitalizing our planet. 

When I graduated from college, my first job out of school was working for a package design studio in South Norwalk, CT. My boss told me the first time he saw one of his package designs in the real world, it was lying in the gutter. A work of art, reduced to a form of litter. This was the first time I became aware of this trend within my industry. Although I enjoyed my work, in the back of my mind, a thought began to take root: when we throw things “away”… where do they go?
